We think it's important to recognize people... who are motivated and committed to supporting and working with all students in STEM especially the under-served communities such as girls and minorities.
Each year we give out scholarship(s) to high school seniors who are helping to “Pay It Forward” by making a difference to build, support or mentor interest in STEM. Each year we also give out prizes to younger students who have shown excellence, initiative and perseverance.
Scholarship applicants can apply by sharing their personal stories of what parts they love in the STEM field, or how they help to provide opportunities for others involved in STEM, or how they learned and/or build interest for others in STEM-related topics.
Scholarships are funded from the sales of WeAreSTEMGirls.com merch, individual donations, and sponsorships.
100% of all profits, donations and sponsorships go to scholarships and prizes, and our site is 100% run by volunteers!
